Changelog
Recent updates and improvements to Groomba.
September 2026
- Bug fixes for team creation and re-estimating issues
August 2026
- New recurring reminder option in Reminder settings nudges everyone with an open poll on a schedule you set, whenever the polls themselves happened to open. New teams start with a weekly reminder and polls that stay open for a week, while existing teams keep the settings they already have.
- New Usage tab in the portal shows workspace admins how much each team in the organization is getting out of Groomba, alongside the seats you are billed for
- New Poll requester display option adds a "Sent by" line to the voting card, so you can see who queued an issue
- Replies to @Groomba now land in a thread off your message instead of in the channel, and dashboards stay put rather than deleting themselves
- Reminder DMs list far more of your open issues than they used to
- Bug fixes for reminders, Slack sign-in, billing links, the pricing page, and the team dashboard
- Security improvements and dependency updates
July 2026
- App Home keeps itself up to date as votes come in and polls open and close, so you no longer have to close and reopen the tab to see where things stand. It also holds a much longer list of polls.
- Creating a team in a channel that already has people in it no longer adds every member as a participant
- Bug fixes for voting, poll finalization, and issue search
May 2026
- Refreshed the landing page and documentation with new branding and a clearer layout
- Any team member can accept or cancel poll results, not just the team owner
- New permissions page, sub-processor list, and vulnerability disclosure policy set out exactly what Slack and Jira access Groomba asks for and how to report a problem
- Promotion codes now work at checkout
April 2026
- Auto-polling can be capped, so Groomba opens no more than a set number of polls in a period you choose. Set it in Auto-polling settings.
- Every auto-polling control now lives in one Auto-polling settings modal
- Story points can come from any numeric Jira field, not only the built-in estimate fields
- Groomba joins public channels by itself when you create a team, so there is no bot to invite first
- Use
/groomba from any channel, not only your team channel
- Bug fixes for auto-polling, backlog counts, and the groom issue modal
March 2026
- Use a Jira Scrum or Kanban board as your backlog, and pick whether a team draws from Spaces, Filters, or Boards
- Choose who votes on a particular issue by adding guest voters or leaving team members out
- Deferred polls come back after a length of time you set, rather than waiting for their turn in the queue
- Groomba asks you to reconnect Jira when it needs a permission it does not have yet, instead of quietly failing
- Added this changelog page, and renamed the guide to Documentation
- Bug fixes for backlog counts, custom point scales, and the team dashboard
February 2026
- Team ownership and the web portal. You can hand a team to someone else, name a workspace admin, and manage teams from the browser instead of only through Slack.
- Several Groomba teams can share one Slack channel, and polls say which team they belong to
- New Poll display settings control how much a voting card shows, from issue descriptions to vote results to a single row of inline vote buttons
- New Jira comment settings control when Groomba comments on an issue and whether it includes the voting results
